Most of the studies here are drawn on the Nasdaq. On a CFD account that is US100; on a futures account it is NQ or the micro MNQ, with one point worth a fixed number of dollars. The setups stay the same, the arithmetic and the rules change.

Point values from CME; all-in commissions from BrightFunded, 7 Nov 2026. A liquidity sweep on NQ often needs a 20 to 40 point stop beyond the swept high, so on a $50K account with a $2,000 limit the micro is where most traders start.

BrightFunded Futures rules that matter for these setups
Target 6%, one loss rule. The Max Loss Limit is the only loss limit: $2,000 on a $50K account, measured on live equity including open trades. There is no daily limit.
End of day or intraday. BrightCore checks the floor at the close, which forgives a stop-hunt that recovers; BrightPlus checks it in real time and pays daily.
Consistency in the evaluation. Your best day can be at most 40% (BrightCore) or 50% (BrightPlus) of total profit. One big sweep trade does not pass the account by itself.
No scalping under 15 seconds for most of the profit. More than half of winning profit must come from trades held longer than that.
News allowed, hedging not. CPI and FOMC days are open; a mini against a micro on the same index counts as a hedge.
Futures or a CFD prop challenge?
A CFD challenge trades US100 on MT5 or cTrader with a daily loss limit and a trailing drawdown: the drawdown maths. A futures account trades the exchange contract on NinjaTrader, Tradovate or TradingView, closes every evening and has no daily limit. If your entries come from the New York kill zone, the futures rules fit the way you already trade.
Questions
What is a futures prop firm?
A firm that sells an evaluation on a simulated futures account. You trade CME contracts such as NQ or ES under its rules and, after passing, request payouts from a funded account. BrightFunded Futures uses real-time CME data with simulated execution.
How much is one point on NQ and MNQ?
$20 per point on NQ and $2 on MNQ (CME contract specifications). A 30-point stop on one MNQ is $60 plus commissions.
Does BrightFunded Futures have a daily loss limit?
No. The only loss rule is the Max Loss Limit, from $1,000 on a $25K account to $4,500 on $150K, measured on live equity (BrightFunded futures help centre, 7 Nov 2026).
Can I hold a futures trade overnight on a prop account?
Not at BrightFunded: every position closes automatically at 4:45 PM New York time, Monday to Friday. The auto close is never a breach.
